Lifetime serial entrepreneur and Sumter, SC native, Greg joined his family business right after high school. He grew the company from three employees in 1986 to over 1,300 today.
Thompson has constructed numerous high profile projects across the state and is expanding its footprint across the Southeast. The business has been profiled in trade journals such as Cleaner and Business & Industry Connection.
Greg attended the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, Young Executive Program. He is the Chairman of the Sumter Economic Development Board, one of the founding members of the Sumter Smarter Growth Initiative and serves on the Tuomey Hospital Board.
Greg is also the president and CEO of BioEnergy Technologies LLC, a full-service renewable biomass energy provider.
